Everybody knows that when it comes to luxury, few car brands can compete with Mercedes-Benz. In terms of comfort, style, and advanced features, our vehicles are always class leaders.

However, these vehicles are also designed with safety in mind. Today, we're taking a look at the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the many safety features it comes with.

Standard Safety Feature Overview

  • Blind Spot Monitoring: This system keeps track of any vehicles around you so you’ll know if it’s safe to change lanes.
  • Pedestrian Detection: Your car will monitor the road for any pedestrians who may be in the roadway.
  • Forward Collision Warning: If your Mercedes-Benz E-Class detects a possible collision, you will get an audible and visual alert.
  • Automatic Emergency Braking: If you don’t quickly respond to a warning about a collision, the brakes can be applied for you. This system can even bring your car to a complete stop.
  • PRE-SAFE®: In the event of a rear-end collision, this system tightens seatbelts and rolls up windows. It can also protect your ears from the harmful sounds caused by a crash by emitting pink noise.
  • Driver Attention Monitoring: If the car detects that you’re not paying as much attention to the road as you should be, you will be sent an alert.

Available Safety Features

In addition to all of the above standard components, you can also have your Mercedes-Benz E-Class equipped with:

  • Lane keep assist
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Surround-view parking camera
  • Lane departure warning
  • Side impact sensors
